Quick answer

Which Canadian Banks Work for Cloudbet Deposits?

All seven Canadian banks below offer Interac e-Transfer, and most also issue a Visa or Mastercard debit card. That is all you need, because Cloudbet takes crypto and you buy the coins through Swapped.

Wallet
Crypto only, valued in US$, no CAD balance
Route one
Send coins from your own wallet or exchange
Route two
Buy crypto in the cashier through Swapped
Bank payment
Interac e-Transfer or a debit or credit card
Fees
Swapped charges its own fee, Cloudbet adds none
Withdrawals
Crypto only, to your own wallet or exchange

The first thing to understand about Cloudbet bank deposits is that your bank never talks to Cloudbet. You open the cashier, choose to buy crypto, and Swapped, Cloudbet's partner, takes the Interac e-Transfer or the card payment. The coins it buys arrive in your wallet after the usual network confirmations. The minimum is about US$1 in crypto, so a first test does not have to be large.

That is why this page is organised around the banks themselves rather than a list of "approved" ones. Cloudbet does not publish any such list, and we will not guess at one. What we can do is compare what each bank says on its own website: whether it supports e-Transfer, how large a transfer it lets you send in a day, which network your debit card runs on and whether it says anything about crypto. If a payment does not go through, the deposit declined guide has the checklist.

Choosing

How to Choose a Bank for Cloudbet Deposits

You do not need a special account. Five small checks decide which of your existing accounts is the comfortable one to use.

Your daily e-Transfer limit

Banks set their own sending caps. Three of the seven below state C$3,000 in a 24-hour period and two state C$5,000, so a larger first deposit may need to be split over two days.

The card network

For the card route you want a card printed with Visa or Mastercard. A card described only as Interac Debit is designed for shops and ATMs, so e-Transfer is the better fit.

The name on the account

Cloudbet asks for your name and address before the first deposit. Pay from an account in the same name so everything lines up and later verification stays simple.

Prepaid or bank account

KOHO and Wealthsimple describe their cards as prepaid, so the money must already sit in the account. A traditional chequing account spends straight from the balance.

Your own spending budget

Decide the amount first, then set a matching deposit limit in Cloudbet's responsible gambling tools. A bank limit is a ceiling, not a target.

How to read the table

The limit column is the amount each bank states you can send by Interac e-Transfer in any 24 hours. CIBC and Simplii Financial also state C$10,000 over seven days and C$30,000 over thirty. Tangerine states C$10,000 and C$20,000, and ATB Financial states C$35,000 and C$150,000 on rolling periods. KOHO and Wealthsimple show "varies" because the cap depends on your plan or on a setting you can change in the app, and we could not confirm one fixed figure on their own pages.

The crypto column is deliberately quiet. None of the five traditional banks says anything on the pages we read about crypto purchases, so the honest entry is "not stated". Wealthsimple is the exception only in the sense that its own website promotes buying and selling crypto inside its app. Nothing here says a bank accepts or refuses payments to Cloudbet, and none of them does so on its own pages.

What this means for a Cloudbet deposit

If you bank with CIBC, Tangerine or Simplii Financial, plan a first deposit that fits inside C$3,000 a day and you will never touch the cap. At ATB Financial or Desjardins the ceiling is C$5,000. Larger amounts can be split over two days, and Cloudbet's own extra identity check starts once cumulative deposits reach US$2,200. The Cloudbet review explains that verification in full.

Card details deserve a second look. CIBC and Tangerine both list Visa Debit alongside Interac, ATB Financial lists a Visa Debit-enabled card and Simplii Financial uses a Debit Mastercard. Desjardins describes its debit card as Interac Debit on the page we checked, so Desjardins members will usually reach for e-Transfer first. Credit cards work as a Swapped payment option too, but some issuers treat crypto purchases as cash advances with a fee and interest from day one, so check your card agreement before you use one.

Fit check

Who This Does Not Suit

The bank-to-crypto route is smooth for many Canadians, yet a few kinds of player will be happier elsewhere. It is better to know now than at the cashier.

  • You want a CAD balance: the wallet holds crypto and is valued in US$, so every deposit is a crypto purchase first.
  • You want withdrawals straight to your bank: payouts are crypto only, sent to your own wallet or an exchange, and any move to your bank happens on that exchange.
  • You dislike an extra step and fee: Swapped charges its own fee on the crypto purchase, so very small deposits cost proportionally more.
  • You rely on an Interac-only card: if the card has no Visa or Mastercard logo, use e-Transfer rather than the card route.

If none of that puts you off, the setup is straightforward. Send an e-Transfer from your own account, or send crypto you already hold, and the wallet fills in a few minutes. Many readers then head for a favourite slot, and Dead or Alive 2 is a popular first choice. You can also open the Cloudbet cashier and compare the amount and fee on screen before you confirm anything.

Prefer an overview first? The Cloudbet home page sums up the casino, the welcome package and the Rewards tiers. A Cloudbet bank deposit is only the doorway, and the rest of the site is set out there.

Cloudbet Bank Deposits: Questions Canadians Ask

Which Canadian banks work for Cloudbet deposits?

Cloudbet does not publish a bank list, because it never takes money from your bank directly. You fund the wallet with crypto, either sent from your own wallet or bought in the cashier through Swapped. The seven banks in the table all offer Interac e-Transfer on their own sites, and most give you a Visa or Mastercard debit card for the card route. The full Cloudbet review covers the rest of the cashier.

Can I pay Cloudbet straight from my bank account?

No. The Cloudbet wallet is crypto only and there is no CAD balance. With a bank account the route is two steps: buy crypto with Interac e-Transfer or a debit or credit card through Swapped in the cashier, then the coins land in your wallet.

What is the largest Interac e-Transfer I can send?

It is set by your bank. In the table, CIBC, Tangerine and Simplii Financial state C$3,000 in any 24 hours, while ATB Financial and Desjardins state C$5,000. KOHO and Wealthsimple depend on your plan and settings, so check the limit inside the app.

Does Cloudbet charge a fee on bank deposits?

Cloudbet adds no fee. Swapped charges its own fee for the crypto purchase and shows it before you confirm. Your bank may also have fees for credit-card purchases, so read your card agreement.

My bank payment was declined. What now?

Cloudbet does not publish anything about which banks accept or refuse these payments, so a decline comes from the bank or the payment partner. Work through the checklist in our deposit declined guide, and try Interac e-Transfer if the card failed.

Can I withdraw back to my bank account?

Not directly. Cloudbet withdrawals are crypto only, sent to your own wallet or an exchange account. If you want Canadian dollars in your bank, you sell the crypto on the exchange and withdraw from there.

What is the smallest deposit?

Cloudbet states about US$1 in crypto, and less for most coins. When you buy through Swapped, its checkout screen shows its own minimum and fee for the amount you choose.

Pick Your Bank, Then Fund the Wallet

Choose the bank card or Interac e-Transfer route that fits your limits, buy a small amount of crypto and see how the cashier feels.
